This is the short sleeved, hoodless version of our popular Touring Cag. Body made entirely from Aquatherm, a fully waterproof thermal, full-stretch polyurethane fabric, plus super stretch neck and bicep seals. All seams are stitched and taped for strength and water-tightness. Features include a front neck baffle opening for venting away persipration which snaps together (poppers) to form a unique, comfortable, neck seal. Optional zipper neck also available. This cag makes use of our new front baffle neck seal, which, with its wider neck gape when undone, allows for good ventilation on prolonged journeys. Optional Popper or Zipper neck versions available, please specify when ordering. Super stretch aquatherm dry seals on the cuff and neck offers a more comfortable fit over a broader area of your wrist and neck, giving a comfortable seal without the cruder pressure associated with traditional latex seals (great for folks who may have grumbling problems with tendonitis.) The seals are tough and durable and non splitting, and are not a “right off” should you puncture them. There is a snap on / off hood with a wired brim with adjustable straps at the sides to get a snug fit for when the weather closes in.
Reflective strips are on the hood, and cuffs for added safety. All seams are stitched and tape for strength and water tightness. The body has an adjustable twin waist seal fixing securely over your deck.

PLEASE NOTE* Based on the European Standard CEN 393, buoyancy aids are only supportive tools and so are designed for swimmers and emergency situations with help at hand. They are NOT rescue tools for non swimmers. Your BA should be comfortable, be suitable for your weight and the particular paddle sport you wish to undertake.

Incredibly comfortable fleece on the inside. High lycra content. Worn as a base layer, the top is ideal under a dry or membrane suit for diving, or under a cag for kayaking. Anti-snag fabric. Yarns coated with durable, water-repellant coating making these garments warm wet or dry. Fast whicking. Fleeces weight to warmth ratio is class leading.

Fitting should be skin tight (allowing the fabric to be in contact with the skin at all points) to maximise sweat wicking potential). The high neck is easily rolled down under a dry seal. Our Transpire fleece range was the chosen base layer for the Royal Marines Summit Expedition to Mount Everest in March 2003 and the Army Everest team in 2006.

Paddle suits are made to measure with bespoke wrist and neck seals, so please enquire for a meausrement form to get a great fit, or click on the link below to complete an online measurement form. Aquatherm is a tough, flexible, robust fabric. Although small tears and holes can be repaired, major work may be the outcome of walking/ sitting amongst brambles, thorny bushes, sharp rocks etc. often in these cases there will be a charge for suit repair. Finally this paddle suit has been designed for surface paddling, it will keep you dry if you should occasionally come out of your boat and go into the water. It is not a DRY SUIT. This suit is not designed as a submersion or white water rescue suit. Please note that we would not normally recommend these paddle suits for professional instructors who quite often work in more extreme conditions on a daily basis. The price and features make these suits ideal for recreational and touring paddlers. For kneeling in an open canoe we strongly advise that you wear nylon over trousers to help prevent puncturing.

The only spray deck available with a bale hole, which enables you to hold a hand pump in position and empty your kayak without taking off your spray deck. Bale hole rolls and clips down forming a watertight seal when not in use. Map loops are small rings fixed on to this deck which allow you to position the map case exactly where you want it - just in front of you.
