This
course is aimed at people who have
been on an introductory course or
are at a BCU 2-3* level, and are
keen to discover what multi day
trips are all about. We will
learn how to plan a trip and load
our kayaks with everything we need
for an overnight trip before setting
off to discover the wonders of the
Cornish coastline. We will
look out for dolphins, seals and
basking sharks along the way to a
spot suitable for wild camping.
During the paddle it is possible to
work on a variety of skills to help
with your boat handling. The
main emphasis of this course is to
introduce you to the skills needed
to plan an overnight trip and how to
handle a kayak to get you where you
want to go. We want you to
experience why we love sea kayaking
so much and help you explore the
amazing scenery on our doorstep.

Have you ever wondered what is
around that next headland? Have you ever spent enough time on the sea for it to
become a lifestyle not just a day trip or a weekend jolly. On this five
day expedition we hope to show you just what sea kayaking means to us. You
will arrive on the Sunday night and then on Monday morning we will set off in
our transport to the most suitable start point. We
will have ratios of no more than 4
clients to one instructor and so can
adjust the journey to suit your
needs. The expedition is aimed at
intermediate kayakers that have
either attended an introductory
course and want to really get going
or are close to the BCU 3* level.
We hope that by the end of the
course you will feel inspired enough
to really explore the wonders of sea
kayaking.

The Greek Island are a Sea Kayakers
Paradise. We will work with
Terra Santa Kayak expeditions to
allow us to explore the islands with
the best guides and equipment.
We will use Lendal paddles and Nigel
Dennis Kayaks. We will hop
from island to island, along high
cliffs and across crystal blue bays.
Each island has its own unique
character. On one, they used to dive
for sponges, while another plays host
to ancient ruins. There are active
volcanoes, and the tasty Kalimnos
bread is available for a few cents.
During daytime paddling, we come
upon fishermen as well as monks in
their secluded chapels and
monasteries. There is always time
for snorkeling in turquoise waters.
Upon reaching camp, we set up the
tents, light the campfire, and get
dinner cooking, often pasta washed
down with a bit of ouzo. Sometimes
we finish the day in a traditional
village, with dinner at the local
taverna, frequently calamari and a
Greek salad. There really is
no better way to explore the islands
and during the week you will get a
really good taste of the culture and
geography of the islands.
Alaska
Alaska
is one of the last true wildernesses
in the World. We will spend 8 days
and 7 nights out in the majestic
Price William Sound. The area is
well known for its amazing marine
life and carving Glaciers. Taking
everything we need to survive with
us in the NDK fibreglass kayaks we
will explorer the Sound looking out
for whales and dolphins as we paddle
past waterfalls tumbling into the
sea from the glaciated hanging
valleys. This really will be an
experience of a lifetime.
